Trefin

13/3/15
Well, a whole day in sunshine! The great band of rain remained well east of us so it was just a rather chill north wind to contend with. A fine day to reach our 500km total

Leaving Broad Haven, the route dipped in and out of valleys but the shelter provided by the high sided lanes was like being wrapped in a warm blanket.
St David's is beautiful, the NCN 4 has been cleverly routed via the magnificent cathedral and the remains of the medieval Bishops' Palace.

Great views of sea to the north and rocky outcrops resembling Southerland as we approached Trefin.

A warm welcome from Heather and a complimentary upgrade to a luxury room at Cranog B&B. The food in the Ship Inn was not that good and over-priced but the breakfast at Cranog B&B was absolutely amazing.

Samphire, laver bread cakes, smoked oysters...

Figures:
Distance:- 40 km
Cycle Time:- 3 hours 57 minutes
Average speed:- 10 kph
Total Distance:- 503 km
