Manorbier

10/3/15
Since our brakes were hardly working in the wet yesterday, I thought it best to change all the blocks, not before time as some where nearly down to metal.
The sun shone and with a great breakfast and send-off from Helen and her family we were off up hill again.
The climb was rewarded with a fantastic view of a silver sea and decending to Amroth for flask and remains of breakfast.

On the short climb out of this bay we were the directed away from cars to a spectacular cliff track which descended to Will Holland's restaurant called Coast- shame we had just had leftover breakfast!

The next suprise was to be travelling horizontally along the coast on cycle way complete with tunnels through to Sandersfoot then up and over to Tenby.

Tenby cycles sold me some spare brake blocks so we were ready for another thousand miles.
After tea and cakes in Tenby, we arrived at Awelon B&B with views of the sea and Manorbier castle from our room. The Castle inn with brand new owners served a great deli board and beer.

Figures:
Distance:- 35.5km
Cycle Time:- 3 hours 39minutes
Average speed:- 10.0kph
Height Gain:- 870m
