12/3/15
As we waved goodbye to Andrea at Woodbine B&B, she left us with these words of wisdom.. If you wait for the rain to stop in Wales, you'll never get anything done. The rain was set in for the next 2 days with a weather system squeezed from both sides that will swipe east then west and a resulting deluge.
Marloes and views to Skomer island would have to wait, the immaculate tarmaced surface of the NCN 4 which took us direct from Pembroke to Broad Haven was too good to miss.
I think we have already decided to come back and walk the Pembroke Coast one day.
It is incredible how a miserable day can be made good when you are removed from cars and this was another great example of well engineered tracks that weave along rivers and railway all the way to the beach.
We sat in the Ocean Cafe with a fresh homemade fish pie and mug of tea and the rain lashing at the window could not damp our spirits as the night's B&B lay just across the road!
