Pinwherry

24/4/15
Another rather short day over a beautiful moorland road with just the curlews and sheep for company.
We stopped in Barhill for a tea and sausage roll in a shop that has survived in an area where all others have closed.

Then on to Auld Creamery B&B where the old creamery (next door) had just been deemed as unsafe and had been demolished by the council. Thankfully our home for the night was still standing and a very warm and welcoming place to stay. With open access to the kitchen, we felt very much at home and we enjoyed the company of both our hosts, Linda and Martin. Another guest, who enjoyed painting and drawing happened to be a hairdresser so when she took one look at the 2 month mop on my head I accepted the offer of a cut!

Figures:
Distance:- 28.2 km
Cycle Time:- 2 hours 1 minutes
Average speed:- 13.9 kph
Total Distance:- 1885 km
