Gairloch

Another sunny start and another trip to the Whistle Stop cafe for breakfast where Sue had a steak and 2 eggs.


The road out along the shores of Loch Maree has an Alpine feel, more trees, long lake and gradual gradients. We are reminded that it was in fact Scotland, however, with the views of the grand old tower of Slioch and the tell-tail signs of sirus clouds which warn of bad weather to come.






It was a pleasant decent to Gairloch and with the open sea came more blue sky and a fantastic evening for our first tent pitch!



We washed our clothes and dried them outside for the first time then went to the Mountain Coffee Company cafe whose conservatory was too hot to sit in on this sunny afternoon, we will remember this in the coming days!
