Aberdeen

6/6/15
After a brief stop at the little shop for some sweets we picked up the old railway line in Maud.
The trees and cuttings gave some shelter from the strong headwind but the occasional exposed section made forward process tough. The surface of the track was solid all the way (only the occasional muddy patch) but the frequent loose gravel sections made it feel like cycling on a beach. To add to the disheartenment there seemed to be no tea shops! All-in-all the novelty of traffic free track had worn off by the time we got to Aberdeen airport and checked into the Thistle hotel.

Figures:
Distance:- 46.7 km
Cycle Time:- 3 hours 48 minutes
Average speed:- 12.2 kph
Total Distance:- 3412 km
